This painting and others in this series, depict features in the West Terraces Breakaways on Mertondale Pastoral Station near Leonora. The Terraces are an attractive and well known natural range cherished by Leonora residents and visitors. It is part of an important Aboriginal cultural features and is also a part of the Leonora Loop Heritage Trail. This painting is created as part of Deeva Muir's Art On the Move Artist Residency at the Fremantle Studio on 117 Beach Street, Fremantle.
